 Destinations: Subic
Subic Bay, seen from an altitude of 23 nm
Subic Bay is located on the western side of Luzon and is approximately a two and a half hour drive from Manila. The diving here is not internationally famous, although it does offer a number of World War II wrecks that lie within close proximity to the bay. The diving here is easy with a range of depths available to suit all levels of experience. Due to a siltly bottom composition, good visibility cannot be guaranteed but despite this some of the country's best wrecks can be found here; wrecks that are ideal for penetration such as the USS New York that lies in about 27 meters of water and contains a variety of marine life including schooling fish, Lion fish, Jacks, Barracuda and Coral Shrimp.
