 Hyperbaric Chambers and Diving Health
Providing that you dive within the limits it is extremely unlikely that you will need any treatment for decompression injuries. Listen carefully to all dive briefings and follow the advice of dive centre staff and employees to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable holiday.
Remember too that you are individually responsible for your own health and safety so please do not take unnecessary risks by diving under the effects of alcohol, drugs, tiredness, ill health, dehydration and certain prescription medicines. If you have any doubts or questions about your fitness to dive then discuss these with the Instructors or staff at the dive center.
If you feel unwell after diving contact your dive centre and discuss your condition with them. They may advise further consultation with a doctor or hospital. Most resort areas have doctors with hyperbaric training and there are a number of chambers across the country. Hospital care in the cities is of international standard.
We must stress again that the number of divers requiring treatment is a tiny percentage of those participating in the sport and the list below is for information purposes only!
