 Water Conditions and Temperatures
The Philippines offers typical tropical waters diving, by this we mean warm water conditions. Depending where you are and what time of the year you dive the water temperatures usually hover between 24 and 27 degrees centigrade. December through to March can bring cooler water and on some of the deeper dives you may possibly feel the water temperature as low as 22 to 23 degrees centigrade. Temperatures during May through to July can reach 28 to 29 degrees.
In general you are likely to be diving in calm seas with little wind or rain which makes the diving a wonderful experience. At other times you are going to experience variable conditions but the diving is still going to be memorable. For European divers only used to cold conditions the diving is completely liberating.
Visibility can vary tremendously and there are so many factors affecting it that it would be wrong to make definitive statements here. In a broad generalisation we should assume that you are going to be diving in relatively clear waters with a visibility range of some 15 -25metres. On some dives you will be lucky and have 30m plus visibility. In some areas it’s going to be less than 15m. Whatever the visibility it’s a rewarding experience.
Wherever you dive with our chosen resorts you are going to be looked by very experienced operators and staff who will advise you of the conditions on your diving day and will only select safe dives and journeys for you.
Above the water, as previously discussed, you will usually enjoy very warm sunny days.
